Artist’s Statement
I love the immediacy of acrylic paint. Because I have to work quickly, the strokes themselves are part emotional, part physical. I paint expressively, with lots of color.
My work strives to bring the feeling of connection, if for just a moment, between all of us. Whether in my Personal(i)ties series or the icons of punk series, I want the sense of that moment to be tangible. All of us are painted with more colors than is readily apparent, and I want to bring them out.
